Good showing in friendly

If it's Bedfont it must be raining! Egham last played at Bedfont Sports in Ashley Smith's last game, and returned last night for a friendly against Vanarama South side Hampton & Richmond Borough to stretch their legs and have a look at a couple of triallists. Against higher rated opposition including Ryan Hill, the last man to score a winning league goal for Egham (in the game against Cheshunt), Egham played with a rejigged line-up that had Tristan Tony partnering Brandon McCarthy up front and Jonathan Adoo-Peters in the middle of the defence Egham looked far livelier than at Marlow. Hampton scored with the best move of the night, a flowing move from the back ending with a smart finish that gave Josh Bramwell no chance. Bramwell had made some decent saves before the only goal of the game. The second half saw both sides develop some decent moves but without much in the way of punch up front.
Meanwhile Bracknell Town overcame the loss of Jordan Brown in the 20th minute, when they were a goal ahead, to win 4-0 against Uxbridge. Molesey's game against Tooting & Mitcham United was postponed. Tonight FC Romania play Chalfont St Peter.
